Today, I’m going to spotlight something a little bit different. I wanted to talk about fitness and working out in Russia, because this was one of the things I was most worried about in coming here. As a group fitness addict in Boston, I feared that not having my classes would really change up my exercise regime. And it definitely has. But on the bright side I found a really great gym and it has become a great place for me to spend many of my afternoons. Also, it happens to be a 2.5 mile walk from my apartment, which hasn’t hurt my step count. They even provided me with a free fitness test, including bioelectrical impedance analysis, and a complementary massage at their spa just for being a frequent visitor! I will certainly miss it when I leave Irkutsk.
