I just got back from Lake Baikal last night, and I just had the most incredible time there. None of the pictures even come close to doing justice to its beauty and grandeur, but I at least tried to capture it. Here’s a little info on some of these pictures 1. This is me standing at the very northern tip of Olkhon Island in Baikal, completely surrounded on all sides by seemingly endless water (and a cliff edge straight down). 2. This is me with my travel companions, Roy and Serpa. They are a couple originally from Finland, but they run a small private airplane company for tourists which leads them to move around a lot. They are currently living in Mongolia, but have spent time in Kenya, Israel, Cyprus, and several other destinations. They were super interesting to talk to. 3. Me ‘swimming’ in the lake... the water was like needles in the foot it was so cold 4. This was super interesting, notice how the clouds are suspended right above the water. Made for some fascinating optical illusions. 5. Baikal just showing off!
